The Knights of Columbus has awarded College Scholarships and Catholic School Grants totaling more than $2 million to more than 800 students.

Most recipients are the children of Knights or Knights working toward bachelor’s degrees at Catholic colleges and Catholic universities in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Philippines.

Award Criteria

Applicant must be the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a member in good standing of the Bristol Knights of Columbus #379 in Rhode Island, or the son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a deceased
member of the Knights of Columbus in Rhode Island who was in good standing at the time of his death. If the applicant’s father is eligible to be a member of the Knights of Columbus, and is not, a grandparent is not
eligible to sponsor the applicant.

Sponsoring Knights should have attended at least one (1) regular Council meeting (excluding the award meeting) OR have participated in a sponsored Knights of Columbus Council event.

Sponsoring Knights must be a member of at least the 2nd Degree before the application deadline.

Applicant must list a selection of accredited Catholic schools (grades K-12), universities, colleges, junior colleges, or specialized schools.

College enrollment in course curriculum leading to a degree or certificate in a program of no less than two (2) years in duration.

Applicant must be entering as a college freshman or continuing as an upperclassman. Applications for assistance with graduate studies will not be accepted.

Winners are selected on the basis of academic record, personal qualifications, financial need and other credentials submitted by or on behalf of each applicant.
